The main aims of Westbury Singers are to promote and foster social music making and assist registered charitable organisations in fundraising.
We wish to continually improve all aspects of our choir and to ensure this improvement is maintained. All aspects of the running of the choir are constantly under review: the quality of our singing, the music we sing and the social interaction of the members.
Our Musical Director for the last 11 years has been Mr Paul Seath. Paul is also a well known local singer and church choirmaster.
Choir members are represented and managed through a main committee. The Chairman and all officers are elected by the choir membership at our Annual General Meeting. A member of each voice part is co-opted as their representative on the main committee.
Sub-committees are convened as and when required. Some are permanent, such as the Music Selection Committee, and some are temporary. The Music Selection Committee selects and presents future programs to the main committee. Any desire to serve on a sub committee is always welcomed.
Whatever your taste in music, we aspire to be "the choir of Westbury on Trym, Bristol", representing the people of Westbury.
