10th Anniversary Celebrations

Christmas 2005 marked 10 years of existence for Westbury Singers.

We celebrated 10 years as a "group of singers" on 10th December 2005 by giving a concert in Westbury Baptist Church, the church that is used weekly for rehearsals. With strong competition for attendances in early December we were pleased to sing before nearly 200 people to mark this important occasion.

A special cake and concert marked the 10th Anniversary of Westbury Singers. As well as the usual Christmas carols, we sang a special Birthday Round' and also welcomed the two young ladies who sang as soloists at that first concert, Colette Todd and Jane Harper.The concert had many of the pieces that were performed in the first concert and so loyal supporters - or sufferers, were able to assess the progress we have made in our first 10 years.
It was a light hearted affair which included Christmas hats and antlers and we also had a large celebration cake with a choir on the icing.

More than £1000 was taken and donations were given to Children's Hospice BABE Appeal.
